hi, im katelyn!

I’m currently a student at UC San Diego studying Computing and the Arts with a minor in Marketing, where I explore storytelling through interactive media, film, branding, and digital experiences. Growing up, I never imagined myself pursuing creative technology, but I quickly fell in love with the way art and computing can come together to create emotional and immersive experiences. A lot of my work focuses on nostalgia, identity, beauty standards, and the relationship between people and technology. Alongside interactive media and filmmaking, I’m heavily involved in esports broadcasting, content creation, social media, and live event production, which has shaped the way I think about storytelling, audience engagement, and online communities.

Outside of school, I love watching VCT, learning more about esports production, casting events, editing videos late at night, and creating experiences that bring people together. I’m especially inspired by the energy behind live broadcasts and the way esports can create meaningful communities through entertainment and storytelling. Whether I’m working on an interactive installation, helping produce a live event, creating marketing content, or exploring broadcast production, I want my work to feel emotional, immersive, and human. I’m incredibly grateful for the friends, mentors, and opportunities that gave me the confidence to pursue creative work, and I’m excited to keep learning, experimenting, and growing as both a creative and storyteller.
